She considered who it might be, but really, she only had one friend who loved magical creatures, and she was waiting for at this very location. "Daehyun," she greeted, before raising her free hand up to pull his hands away from her face. Giggling as she turned around to face him. She wondered if he could hear how heavily she was still breathing after his little scare. Maybe she should have just been more alert, but then again, she hadn't assumed she would need to be.
And at least she had saved her muffin from an unglorious end of meeting the floor. Speaking of which, she passed the now dry robe along with another blueberry muffin to the boy in front of her. "I got an older student to help me with a drying charm... and then I was hungry so I ran by the kitchens and got some extra snacks."
Shera deserved them. Especially after the young Ravenclaw had attempted and mostly succeeded to run all the way to the top tower. Daehyun flinched back almost in perfect sync with Shera, having never considered before that he could frighten her with his actions and, therefore, he was back from feeling playful to his usual flustered, stuttering mess. "I-I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to scare you." Though he did thank his lucky stars that he'd gotten unharmed out of it.
Accepting the robe with a thankful nod, he draped it over his uniform, and stared hesitantly at the muffin she'd offered him as he opened the door to the nursery and waited for her to walk in first. "You sure you don't want the extra? Or at least split it in half?" Did he deserve treats? After all the embarrassing things he'd said, and even scared her so bad that she was breathing hard? Plus, if she liked sweets, he would gladly sacrifice the urge to have some.
His lips stretched into a small smile as he heard soft, familiar cries coming from inside the nursery. She was going to love the small birds that he'd told her about mere minutes earlier - or at least he hoped she would. |
