He laughed when she'd finished off declaring that he was likely disinterested, because it couldn't have been farther from the truth.

"It's nice to see you so passionate, so feel free to talk my ears off about it." Although he wasn't nearly as passionate about it as she was - his level of enthusiasm when it came to Quidditch was more along the lines of didn't-mind-watching-a-match, and would soon turn to excited-to-watch-Shera-play - he enjoyed listening to facts he'd never known about. "They used trees, you say? Surely they must have carved them to some extent, right?" Because the way he was currently imagined it, it looked very barbaric.

Meet her thestrals? "You don't have to ask me twice!" He would likely be somewhat nervous to meet the creatures that were invisible to him, but he was excited anyway.

Her smile was awfully contagious as she spoke about her family, a grin soon spreading across Daehyun's lips as well. "I'm pretty sure mother is thankful at this point that she's only got me, with all the strays I've been bringing in along the years." There had been a time when he'd wondered if she'd kick him out if he brought another bird whose broken wing she needed to nurse back to health, but he'd soon learned the basics himself.

"Good," he smiled at the comment her parents had made. "Stay that way." Because her happiness was priceless and contagious. He felt the tips of his ears heat up slightly at the thought, thankful that his hair had grown just enough to brush over them.
Despite his response, Shera was still pretty sure that she would completely bore Daehyun if she went on too much more. So she tried her hardest to keep focussed on the tree like broomsticks of the past as she tried to explain them to the best of her ability. "From what I read they used small trees as broomsticks, cutting off some of the branches if they were too wide. Or they could use a large branch that still had others coming off of it but that was rarer. They didn't invent the cushioning charm that is now on broomsticks until about the early 1800s, so it wouldn't have been comfortable to ride a broom until then."

And despite her attempts that had once again taken a slight tangent and she had gone off rambling again. And then because she was thinking of brooms, it went off on a new tangent as she blurted out, "Mum and dad have said if I get on the Quidditch team this year they're going to go with me to buy a new broom for next year!"

That was only one of the reasons that she really wanted to get on the Quidditch team. The other was she just wanted to play Quidditch.

Shera laughed at the thought of his parents being happy that they only had him. "Mum and dad were happy just having me, they say I was a handful of a baby. They only had my brother three years ago," she told him. Then she decided to go on to lightly tease, "Although we bring home significantly fewer strays than you do..."

And before the took that the wrong way, she should probably address that. "It's a good thing that you do though, it shows that you're very... caring," that adjective was probably the best. Though that wasn't the only thing that showed that trait. The robe currently resting on her was also evidence of his kindness.

Stay that way? Well it showed that he liked her the way she was at least, which made her smile brightly at him. "That shouldn't be too hard."
