Just then someone knocked on the door to his office. "Just a sec!" he said as he put his papers down and went to open the door.

"KAY!" he greeted enthusiastically, smiling widely and opening the door, beckoning her inside with a polite gesture. "What a pleasant surprise! Come in right in."
