Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight Stretching. Yes.
Naturallly it was the norm before a tryout or a practice session or a game, or before any sort of sport or... exertion. Warming up in general was, too, but Abra considered the walk to the pitch from Gryffindor tower to be a perfectly sufficient warm up in and of itself. But yes, stretching. He had sort of guessed that they'd be going through stretches before the tryouts really got underway, and for that reason he'd held off until then. Didn't want to get over-stretched, you know?
... And perhaps it was partly that he was actually a little bit lazy, and preferred to fall in when everyone else got started, rather than spend extra time doing the same thing.
...... And also just a little bit to do with not wanting to do something that nobody else in the group was doing yet. Perhaps. Merlin. Get off his case.
Abra switched his broom into his left hand and, after moving back a few steps into an area with plenty of space, he held it horizontally by his side. He gave the 'Up!' command while holding it there and let it go, which left the broom suspended, eerily still, in the air beside him. The reason for this? He just didn't want to put it on the floor; that broom was a prized possession, custom-made and also full of sentimental value, and he wanted it literally by his side and away from potential clumsy feet (including his own) if he could help it. Then the stretching began. Both hands free now, Abra did exactly as Zoryn had instructed, stretching his right arm back behind him with his elbow directly behind his head, and pushing said elbow gently but firmly so that his right hand reached a touch further down his back and his triceps were carefully stretched. After a ten-count, he switched arms, and it was around about that time that it became his turn to tell Zoryn the position he was trying out for. He cleared his throat, and said in a low voice, "Seeker." All the while, though he didn't look at Emma, he was silently willing her not to ask the thing he knew she wanted to ask when Zoryn reached her, because then everyone would hear and stare and Abra wasn't entirely sure he could deal with it.
Trying VERY HARD not to think about that, Abra continued stretching. He moved on to holding each arm, one at a time, across his chest and working on his shoulders. Then his legs, leaning and pulling up the toes on each foot, and then standing up straight and pulling the ankle of one foot up behind him, and then the other.
And then it occurred to him, as it did every other time he had ever gone through this rigmarole ever in his life ever, that this part of Quidditch was easily the most boring. While he worked on stretching out his back and torso with various twists, turns, and leans, Abra looked longingly towards the sky.
He was not a patient person.
