Just-" he shook his head, "-no." Nuh-uh. "I prefer cheering for you." Regardless of how foolish he would look.
"Not really a zoo, but-I keep adopting until it'll probably turn into one." And his parents had already gotten over the phase of fighting him whenever he brought in a stray, finally accepting that there was no way around it. "So far I've got three crups that I've found, either lost or abandoned," he counted off his fingers. "Then there's Yin and Yang, the stray cats that I've fed until they refused to leave." Tee hee. "Our family owl is almost as old as I am," he said somewhat sadly. He'd wanted to bring Felix to Hogwarts, but then he'd thought he'd rather let him rest. "And I got Felicis after meeting you! She's up at the owlery. Oh, and-there's this group of imps in the back of our garden..." The ones that his mother desperately wanted gone, but he wouldn't let her drive them away. "They're cute."
She had to answer a riddle when she entered the common room? Sounded fair enough, it being Ravenclaw's common room, but... "But it's the same riddle, right?" ... right? He couldn't imagine if he had to answer a different one each time he wanted to go to the common room. He would probably never leave it, aside from classes. Or find someplace else to sleep.
As for the secret passageways, "Maybe we can find someone in the portraits who would tell us?" Surely there must be someone?
So that was a definite no on the Quidditch front. For now at least, maybe after their flying classes he would change his mind... that was the outcome that Shera found herself sort of hoping for. Because Quidditch was great!
"Well we definitely need to start with you learning how to fly before we make assumptions about you choosing to try out for your Quidditch team."
Would he notice if she incorporated Quidditch skill building exercises into his flying lessons? That was of course, if he continued needing flying lessons afterwards.
Although, if he got more comfortable with flying she was definitely taking him flying one time anyway.
"That's really cool, I'd love to see them! I really wanted to get a crup while we were in Diagon Alley but my mum said that she was only letting me get an animal I can take to Hogwarts. See the house elves could care for them, but she thinks it's better that they also have people around and they move between homes pretty frequently," she rambled, thinking about their living situation. She wondered whether or not she had told the boy in front of her about that, or whether he'd assume they'd move a lot. Which technically they did, but between houses that they owned.
"I told you we have homes in France and America, right?" "What kind of owl is she? We have a white one and she's also getting a bit old now too, but mum and dad love her so I think they'll get a new one soon and just let her do what she wants at home." It was a very cute owl. She definitely wanted to have one of her own one day.
"Imps?"
Another thing that she'd heard of but never seen. His quiet 'they're cute', made her smile.
"I think you'd have to show them to me too!"
The smile almost dropped off her face at the mention of the riddles.
"They change," she confirmed, shrugging her shoulders lightly.
"If you get it right it compliments you and lets you in, you get it wrong and it just goes quiet and you have to wait for someone to get it right. Or figure it out." "We'll have to go looking! Although, I thing some of them will be less than helpful..." she was pretty sure Elizabeth
hated her at this point.
