Vi was on her first patrol of the year. She had split off from being with Erik Jessup III (the Ravenclaw Prefect), who was a rather quiet fellow, in order to go check out the Armour Gallery. Taking a few steps into the room, Vi felt a chill crawling up her spine as if something... like a spider was there. Reaching behind her, she touched her back with a tentative hand and found.... nothing.

Hmm.. Alright. That was weird. Vi chalked down that reaction to nerves.

Yet still, she felt uneasy as if something was watching her. Was something in here? Vi bit her lip. She ventured into the room, casting a non-verbal Lumos, and then began looking in all the corners. Nothing. Nothing at all was here. Just empty suits of armour all lined up.

Lowering her wand, she put it away and then began walking out of the room until she stopped all of a sudden. There was a noise. What... What WAS it? "Huh?" she asked, wondering if she had actually heard something. Vi whipped her head around and raised her wand.

"Hello?"

Please don't be Peeves. She didn't need to start her first patrol with a deja vu moment from her fourth year at the school. Vi bit her lip and continued to grip her wand. "Hello?" she asked again.

Perhaps she was just hearing things....
It had seemed like a good idea at the time.

Or a fun idea at least? Bel hadn't actually intended to get herself in the situation that she was in, but here she was. She had just been walking along minding her own business when she'd had an 'ooh shiny' moment, and enough curiosity to go and lift one of the visors and peer inside. And THEN she had thought why not actually, you know, BE inside one of them? She'd never worn a suit of armour before, or even SEEN them in person before she had come to Hogwarts. There just wasn't a lot of that sort of thing back in Aussie. She'd looked for the smallest suit and started pulling it apart. But apparently magic armour made things easy since it sort of had just... opened itself up invitingly and she'd immediately gone ahead and stepped into it, only to find it snuggly closing around her AND magically adjusting itself for her height and size.

And then she'd tried to move.

And.... it hadn't worked.

At all.

Because apparently a suit made out of metal was heavy, and when it was magical it was doubly so. So here she was standing in a suit of armour, lined up with the others. Shorter than the rest, but just as still and silent.

It seemed like no matter what she did, she couldn't make it move. The armour was well content just holding her prisoner (or maybe it liked the company?) She wasn't sure if she should yell out and make a racket, or if she should try to get out of it herself. Would she get in trouble? She hoped not! That was the concerning bit really, she hadn't been trying to misbehave.

And then, after what seemed an eternity, she heard a voice. A hello.

Bel was a BIT concerned about what to say to that. She didn't want to give the person a fright after all. She also wasn't the sort to mess with someone on purpose either.

So the smallest suit of armour remained silent, listening carefully. And not at all noticeable amongst the much taller ranks around her.

.... right?
