Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite "It won't really be studying for me, just some light revision. I don't have much time for anything else if I wanna get to the Seventh Year syllabus by February." Helping Jahan with his OWL studies had been the point when she'd learned the material, now she was ready to move on to bigger and more challenging things. Maybe she and Cassie would end up studying together when she got to that point.
Blue eyes drifted back to the other end of the table where the Male Prefect sat. She could only imagine the sort of conversation they were suffering through--or maybe they weren't. Maybe he was only insufferable when it came to his position and giving her orders. "Only the first day back but with Erik in charge, I'm starting to think it's gonna be a long term." Jessa averted her gaze again, refusing to acknowledge the way he winked at them both. Merlin was he full of it. "I don't know." Jessa mused thoughtfully as she considered the pros and cons of having new Professors know they were nuts. "Might be for the best. They won't end up expecting the wrong sorts of things--or trying certain teaching methods." There were only so many ways you could teach crazy people, yeah? "But you're right, as long as Hirsch sticks around, I won't be worried about anything." She continued, in full agreement with Finn. "Worst comes to worst, I'll just keep teaching myself things in the other subjects, but Hirsch is the deal breaker." There would be no recovering from that....ever.
And now that she was thinking about it, the 5th Year couldn't help looking to the staff dais again. He wasn't ever leaving....yeah....?
A smile spread across her face at Hanna's next question. "Sure does! And an experimental station which is probably the best part of the entire Common Room when it comes down to it. Charmed to cancel most noises, it's the perfect place to get things discovered and such." Nearly as impressive as her own lab she'd kinda stolen.
But before that, a bit of explanation on the grading. "T stands for Troll. It's the lowest possible grade you can get on a test or assignment. I didn't do it, so I couldn't very well get anything higher than that." Made sense if she thought about it. Trolls weren't known for being the brightest blokes out there. "You'll wanna avoid those but it's not the end of the world either way. It's not the tests that tell you you're smart or otherwise."
