Did she transfer from another magical school? She nodded at Daisy although the new Hufflepuff thought it was kind of the stupidest question in the world, unless Hogwarts did had accepted some students who went to muggle school before and detected the magical signs of a muggle-born very late, but it sounded just impossible. "I did, yeah. I'm from Mahoutokoro." She replied to that girl.

And there was Derfael, the new friend and the only person in the table whom she recognized... A friend? Yeah, Diandra could call him a friend because he had become so helpful and friendly with her, although part of her thought that it was just because he's a prefect. She smiled at the boy as he welcomed her presence in Hufflepuff table and... Did he just HUG her? Okay, this might be a little bit weird to be heard but he was the first guy who ever hug her... Other than her family, obviously. "Umm... Thanks, Derf." So maybe Derf was genuinely nice, she changed her mind about this blonde guy.

Diandra did notice some other students who had joined them (Simon, Bel, and Regina) and just gave them small smile. Maybe... she would try to talk to any of them? She was about to do it but then suddenly an appearance of Zita caught her attention because that Slytherin girl had just casually landed her green lips on Derf's. Uhhhhh..... Coming from a quiet conservative Asian family makes her felt quiet uncomfortable and ended up covering her face because that's what she usually did when she saw a kissing scene in a movie. Alamak. Now she wondered if casual snogging in public was kind of a common thing here because Diandra thought it rarely happened back in Mahoutokoro.

Also, she did agree with Harriet's statement, but not out loud.

Alamak: an Indonesian/Malay slang that can be used to express shock.
