She'd just moved a few feet when suddenly the cart jerked. As if she'd appeared out of thin air, a bigger girl stood there, her foot lodged under the front cart wheel.

Amara gave her a puzzled look and when she heard the older girl's accusation, she was annoyed. Who was she? Who does she think she is, calling her a thief? Amara let of an angry grunt. Before she could respond to the girl, another called to her. Something about people in lines. Standing in lines for what? And then a bunch of people appeared out of no where.

WHERE DID ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM ? ? ? ?

Amara was starting to get tensed and angry, everyone was just looking at her, whispering and giving her disapproving looks. One of them even asked her to stop stealing. Now that's what everyone is thinking. Because of this girl!

She was nudged and pulled aside by a tiny figure. Her angry little hands were ready to push away the person but then she saw it was Aaron. The boy from the bookstore. And even he was telling her not to steal. He was giving her a stern look and she knew she didn't deserve it. She couldn't believe what was happening. "I didn't--" she freed herself from his hold. "--and you just believed , you just.. assumed..." She moved away from him. She was hurt. Hurt that Aaron didn't give her the benefit of doubt. Sure they had just met recently and weren't thickest of friends but Amara liked him. He seemed cheerful and friendly at F&B. And he was the first boy she'd met from Hogwarts. They were going to be friends! That's what he'd said. Her mouth twisted, her face now had a downcast expression.

All because of the big girl! She started it. She glared at the girl in front of her. "I--wasn't-- stealing!" she said aloud for everyone to hear. "And it isn't up to you to judge!" Who were they, just branding her as thief!

"Would anyone steal the entire cart? Do you even think?" she shot in the general direction of the accusing crowd. That was thick, even for a little person and this girl looked important. So did the other big girl who asked her not to steal. What's up with these girls? And all these people? If I did want to steal, won't I just take a few pieces and run away?

Apparently her foot had done the trick in preventing the cart from moving further away and there was all kinds of befuddled looks from people. Also, why was the girl trying to act all innocent in this??? She was the one who had started with pushing the trolley in the first place and it wasn't as if it had been so discreet that no one noticed.

Hearing comments about if you didn't have any money, no need to steal the cart, Skylar turned at appreciative nods of agreement toward Alyce and others who were intervening. Along with another fellow first year (Aaron) who had joined her and Hattie's compartment before, and apparently knew the trolley thief.

Who got angry?

"Well then, why were you attempting to roll it away from everyone standing on queue??" Basically she couldn't deny it. She was caught red-handed. There were witnesses. Merlin, was this what kids did these days??

Oh boy, and this is when things started to get heated.

As the always positive person who really didn't have a negative outlook on anything in life, Aaron didn't like it when people started to become genuinely angry. From the looks of it, Amara genuinely didn't know that you couldn't move the cart. After all, she was a first year and everything, so she didn't know any better.

"Ladies, ladies. Can we all just settle down a bit with this. It's getting out of hand. No need to argue, we're all friends here..."...right? Hopefully everyone would just nod their heads in agreement and move on with the rest of the day as per usual. Hopefully, that at least calmed the crowd a little bit, but Aaron had a strong feeling it would take a lot more to subdue the now angry Amara.

Facing her the boy said in a soothing voice with eyes that were almost hypnotic in a sense, "Amara, no need to get upset over this. How were you supposed to know that you couldn't move this? Let's just calm down, we can go back to my spot in the line, and I'll get you anything you want from the trolley." A brief pause shot through the air. "How does that sound?"
