He supposed that was good for the boy, considering he'd be doing a lot of things for himself now that he would be going off to boarding school for the next few months. He did carry Gretchen's cage though while Minerva tended to the children as they stepped onto the platform. Such a bittersweet moment; he wasn't completely sure how he felt about sending Gunnar off.

Morgan looked around at everything as he clung to Mummy's hand. He was very tempted to run forward, free from any hand-holding, but for now his attention was very much captured by all the sights on the platform.

"Look, it's the train!" he exclaimed, pointing at it with his free hand. He wanted to go on it too! He tugged on Mummy's hand and looked at her expectantly. Would she let him get on? Just for a minute?

Dragging his trunk along behind him, Gunnar kept careful watch on everything going on as they stepped onto the platform. He was excited to be going to Hogwarts, but he was nervous too, and a little scared deep down, but that was one feeling he wouldn't readily admit. It was an exciting new adventure, yes, and he was sure he'd make some new friends and learn all about how to make his own magic, but he was sure he'd miss his family, especially his siblings. He had never been away from them for that long.

He looked at Morgan pointing out the train, then looked up at the large Hogwarts Express himself. Wow.. it was really time to be going. Gunnar looked up at his mother then tentatively nodded. "I think so, Mum," he answered her in German. He knew he was supposed to be speaking English more, now that he would be going to the Scottish school, but subconsciously he felt closer to home speaking German for now. He wasn't quite sure he was ready to say goodbye and leave yet though. At least not right this second.

She had many feelings today, MANY FEELINGS! Chloe walked with her hand in her mother's and didn't protest. She had been quiet all morning and just stayed that way as they walked. There was no fighting it, she wasn't going with Gunnar. She had tantrumed all summer, but not really because she wanted to go okay yes she did but because Gunnar was leaving her. She was his big brother and who she played with daily or went to hide in his room when she was scared. Who would do that now? He was not only leaving but taking Gretchen with him so two family members were leaving.

She stopped and looked at the train as Morgan pointed it out. Could they go on it? She could maybe hide behind a seat if they did. No one would notice until they go to school, right?

Her eyes fell on the younger two, they were being so good and she was grateful at the moment, but was it the calm before the storm? She shook her head to Morgan's question, "Not today sweetie, this is Gunnars big day and he'll be the only one going on the train." Though if they all got on the train she could be with her oldest a little longer. No, she couldn't embarrass him that much, her hugs and kisses that will last for days would be plenty to embarrass him.

Smiling at Ethan she couldn't help but feel the memories creeping up. "So many trips on this train." Her husband hadn't been there his entire time, but he was there for the best parts of her time. Looking at Gunnar as he answered back in German she didn't mind, she knew he wouldn't be speaking it often at school so she answered back the same way, "If you didn't just send Gretchen and we will get you what you need." She let go of the other two's hands and walked over to him putting her arms around him. "You are going to have so much fun there. So many friends, remember Hudson will be there so you already know someone." She wondered if Max or Elliot were around to send him off yet. "Daddy and I are just a letter away if you need us. I can be in Hogsmeade in a quick minute." She might be showing her overprotectiveness, but being a stay at home mom for as long as she was with Gunnar she couldn't help it.
