... like turning Shera invisible. Disillusionment charms were not to be toyed with.
"Why... why would I run away?" Did she have a record of scaring frightened boys away? Even if she did, he would never run. Not when he was too horrified to approach people by himself. And her company was pleasurable.
Write home to get dress robes sent? Oh, no, no, no. That was a big no, because the last time his mother had tried to force dress robes on him turned into one of the most horrifying experiences of his life. "You-you think I should look for something, too?" Because as much as he wanted to wear his hanbok, he didn't want to look like an odd ball, if they ever had a formal event at Hogwarts. "At least I know my size now." It was a good start.
Why would he run away?
For the first time in their conversation so far it was Shera that flushed.
"Some people find me.... intimidating?" overconfident, terrifying, too curious for her own good and a number of other adjectives also would have covered it. That was as far as she was going to go. She was not going to talk about the time that she had 'made a friend' and her curiosity had gotten them into a sticky situation with a creature that had tried to grab them.
Daehyun still had time to run away. And Shera rather wanted him to stay.
"Well... we could always both not get dress robes? And then if there is anything formal we can both go in jeans and not be alone?" She actually wanted him to agree to that proposal. She would feel a lot more comfortable that way, and he seemed like he would be in the same boat. At least then they would have each other.
And she had enough confidence for both of them to pull it off.
