Saying this was...awkward was an understatement. Magnolia had not gone out of her way to be over friendly at her time at Hogwarts but she was going to be a fourth year now and by Merlin's beard! She was going to peel herself off the wall and be a social butterfly...or well..she'd attempt to do that.

This was the first step.

Clutching the invitation tightly, she stepped unto the pool deck and looked around.

Okay so there were more people than she had anticipated but this was not a bad thing.

"Social...I'm going to be social.." She repeated her sentence over and over through gritted teeth, while offering awkward smiles to familiar and unfamiliar faces.

So far so good.
