She listened and of course, she had some words of comfort to offer. "It's not silly. I felt the same way when I was about to graduate. You've been here for so many years so its natural to feel attached to this place.'' Ah, yes. The cause. Kay was eager to know more of this. The knowledge may come in handy at some point."Have you thought of a strategy? Of how you'll get your message around to get witches and wizard to agree with you?''
It was obvious from the way she changed the subject that Kay did not want to talk about whatever was on her mind - which was totally fine. Whatever it was, Kitty was sure she'd be able to figure it out, and if later she wanted to talk, Kitty would be more than happy to hear her out.
Now though the subject was changed to something she felt most passionate about
: the Statute and her future.
"It's a shame that I won't be seeing this place again," she said, not quite ready to embrace leaving.
"At least not for a long time. If I ever had kids I would send them here because I wouldn't want them to miss out. Even though by then none of my friends will still be here and maybe even none of the professors. At least the ghosts and portraits will always be here." Talking about it made her feel even sadder, so she was relieved to switch the subject to the Statute.
"Well, I've considered several things. Obviously I'll try to do things legally." She didn't want to be thrown into Azkaban.
"First I'll start handing out leaflets. I reckon I'll have plenty of opportunities to debate people who disagree with me just from handing them out. My leaflets will include details about normal Muggles suffering from illnesses and other problems, along with real pictures. It'll force people to imagine if those were people they knew, and then I think they'll be more sympathetic to my position and won't be so quick to assume I'm an evil Cultist like Ronan did."
