It was weird, y'know, how many times she'd stood here practising and how often she'd said her lines, just to glance out at the audience from her spot off stage and suddenly feel a large wave of anxiety sweep over her. Though she couldn't make them out, her dad and sister were sitting out there somewhere and a couple of her friends too. Suddenly, the Ravenclaw could only focus on hoping she didn't forget her lines.
Jessa paced back and forth, not moving too far from her original spot. In the last few weeks, she hadn't been studying her lines the way she was meant to. There were so many things vying for her attention, where was she meant to find the time or the motivation.
It took several deep breaths before Jessa was finally able to bring herself back to some level of calm.
She knew her lines. She'd known her lines for some time now.......what were the odds she'd forget them the moment the curtain lifted and she was meant to get out there??
Nope. Wouldn't think about that. Not right now. No need to psych herself out early. Jessa fidgeted with her dress a few times. While she tried not to worry, she couldn't entirely stop the anxiety. School plays weren't foreign to her, but usually her role was minimal. A second appearance was rare. Now she would be there the whole time and it was a little nerve wracking.
