The second was a first year who seemed rather daft at times. The third, though, was someone he had already worked with in DADA, and while she seemed pretty capable, he didn't really want to repeat. So daft first year it was.

"Hey, we can partner up," he said, picking up his things and moving to the chair beside the Slytherin. He already had a piece of parchment, good.
