Becca was curious to see how people felt about the event to see what she could suggest to them for next time.
Letting out a sigh of relief when the coffee disappeared and the smell followed it quickly, Becca smiled at Sophie. "Thank you. It's been a lifelong problem." She wouldn't tell her what happened if she ingested any of the foul stuff. "Anything else. I have no idea how the coffee got there! I don't allow it into my office at all and I'll have to investigate how it got there." Had Gid done it to try and get her excited at finding the perp and tracking him down? If so, he was in sooooo much trouble. "So, Sophie. How have you found the department so far?" Looks, how welcoming it was, all that fun stuff. Finally she had gotten a boss that seemed to accept that she didn't like being called nicknames. Sophelina, was still a thorn from her past employment that Sophie couldn't just shake off. To have good camaraderie in the field on a big case it helped if you knew your co-workers well so she was going to keep that in mind while talking to Becca. Smiling Sophie said "My grandmother loves the clock. It has made it immensely easier for her to remember when to do things." Like when to take her medicine.
Orientation. Sophie paused for a moment to choose her words wisely. When she spoke she said tentatively "It was okay I guess. I didn't know what to expect going into it. I met a few of the other creatures employees and they seem friendly enough. I thought the event would give me a better idea of what each department does and which departments creatures cooperate with most." It'd make field work easier if she understood that. "You're welcome," Sophie smiled. "I suppose your smell problem isn't much different from my pox tinted fingers." It was something that she had to live with for the rest of her life. Shrugging she asked "Have you gotten a new assistant that doesn't know about your medical problem that could explain the coffee?" It could be a simple mistake like that or it was a prank or something that she didn't want to consider. "Erm, the department is very welcoming and my cubicle is nice and airy." Sophie answered a little unsure of what Becca was after. "Do we share the breakroom with DERP?"
