This activity sounded like a whole lot of work that Zoryn did not feel like doing. So instead of getting a head start on all the magic stuff, she chose to watch all her peers around her instead. It looked like people were having a good time and all, which was nice, but Zoryn was very bored and super ready to leave class today. It wasn't even Professor Marchand's fault. Classes were just a waste of time in general.
As for the red plane she had in her hands, Zoryn just took the liberty of throwing it to see how far she could get through the obstacle course. Wouldn't that really just qualify as the same thing as the levitation charm? Plus, she didn't even have to do much thinking to get it done!!! See, this was innovation at it's best.
Doing wand-work required too much brain energy.
