The Groundskeeper was not a light sleeper. It was actually quite a task to wake him up at all. From the moment he closed his eyes in the evening to the moment he opened them the next morning, he slept like an older, slightly overweight gentleman a baby. And this particular night was no different.

Haraldur woke up the following morning when it was still dark out. Nothing about that morning seemed out of the ordinary as he prepared for his morning rounds of the grounds. He moved routinely, not fully awake but having no doubt the crisp morning would wake him up. Without looking, Haraldur reached out to grab his broom from his usual spot but his hands grasped nothing but air. He frowned and stared for a moment where his broom usually stood leaned against the dresser. He wasn't the most organized person, but he always knew 100% where his broom was. After all, Månjägaren had saved his life on many occasions and although inanimate, considered a sort of friend of his.

The groundskeeper sighed and started to march around the hut, in search of it. If it didn't show up soon he would be late for his second breakfast up at the castle and days without a second breakfast never worked out right.

After a few minutes of searching he stopped in the middle of the room, not really sure on what to do next. The hut wasn't that big after all, there were only a few possible places it could be.

His eyes landed on a red envelope on the table that hadn't been there the night before. Had someone broken in? The 66-year old Groundskeeper only hesitated for a few seconds before he walked over to the table and picked up the envelope to open it.

He had a feeling it wasn't an early Valentine's letter.
