Ronan didn't know rather it was distraction or what, but something had caused his transfiguration to go horribly wrong the second and third time around and instead of three ducks flapping around and trying to find a safe place to get, there was one. One of the skrewts had sprouted flaming feathers that luckily seemed to be keeping it busy. The other had sprouted duck wings, however and was now flying....and aiming right for him! He quickly threw himself to the floor and started rolling away with clanging sounds. Once he felt that he was out of the line of fire, he sat up, aimed his wand at the one he had planned on calling Fin and cast a nonverbal Finite (the only spell he could do nonverbally at this point in time) at him.
This was going swimmingly. #sarcasm
