It was nice working on a team with Ava. Kitty probably would have overwhelmed if she'd tried her strategy alone. The Skrewts were more agitated than ever after they'd put out the fire and now were coming at them three at a time! Kitty raised her wand arm defensively, but Ava's Protego spell combined with Algiz pushed them back temporarily."Nice one!" she shouted above the roar of chaos to be heard.

But then the Skrewts were advancing again. Kitty pointed her wand at one of the Skrewts and shouted, "Stupify!" And how dare anyone suggest stunning them was inhumane. Stupify wasn't capable of injury and it didn't even hurt. All it did was keep its target incapable of motion, which was much less than what the Skrewts were trying to do to them!

Er...hopefully the Headmistress saw it that way too and wouldn't be angry.
