He instinctively petted Phantom. Thinking of that day made him sad, but her reminded himself that it was all behind him now. He had his Rose now, and Phantom, of course! And Rose was right; she wasn't going anywhere. "Yes, I think she knows that now," he replied before turning back to the cat. "Sorry, Phantom. You're just going to have to share..." Then he turned his attention back to the cake on his desk. "Of course, help yourself," he said. Phantom was already doing just that, but he didn't mind. He was glad to share his cake with both or his girls!

Oh goodness! Gaston was just the most amazing husband ever and Rosalyn loved him very much. The kiss on her hand and comment about being adorable caused her to turn slightly red, but it was out of pleasure and not embarrassment. Who didn't enjoy compliments like these from time to time? She certainly didn't even though she could be a little hard on herself at times - most people were that way. "Well, I have to say that you are very adorable yourself, so we can BOTH be the definition of it." He could disagree with her all he wanted to, she was not going to change her mind on the issue.

It was always amazing to make Gaston laugh, and now Rosalyn was positively BEAMING. "I'm sure that EVERYONE thinks that at initially at least. I can imagine it being quite vexing, but you can still have some fun with it." As he did with his plaque and the fact that he had dressed up as the character for the Tacoween party a few years ago. "Oh. I was wondering if her name came from that." It was a pretty obvious conclusion to make even though she had yet to read the novel; not too many other places where it could of came from to her knowledge. The mention of Ellie was sad, but it was something that she wasn't sure she could talk about, not out of lack of caring... it was more out of not being sure WHAT to say. Knowing how much it had pained him and continued to pain him to this day, she wished that there was some way that she could help him feel better about things. It was impossible to completely get over something like that, but it would be enough for it to not hurt as much. "I'm glad that you had her for when you needed someone to be there." Animals really were great in that way. The best of companions.

I guess her knowing is a step in the right direction." Or was it just wishful thinking? Nodding, she helped herself to one of the pieces of cake. "I just love your bistro." Especially now that there was cooking involved with it!
