| ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. SPOILER!!: Laurel! <3 Quote:

Raising her gaze to meet Kay's she still held Kay's hand in both hers as said quietly. "I see many broken lines here. It means much emotional trauma is to come and possible even death to someone very close to you." "I'm so sorry Kay but everything I can read from your palm lines predicts that your father is not going to survive the disease that ails him. He is going to die....." Feeling an uneasy knot form in the pit of her stomach right as the word die left her mouth Laurel stopped talking. This was not news she had wanted to give her friend at all.
Kay held her breath. The entire office felt tense to her and it did nothing to ease her heart rate. She watched Laurel as calmly as she could. Broken lines? She had no idea what that meant at first. The woman thought her heart had stopped but she simply nodded. Years of experience of keeping her emotions to herself kicked in and it took every ounce of that experience to help her keep it together.
There it was.
What she had hoped not to be true was actually going to happen. Kay retracted her hand. "Thank you, Laurel,'' she said quietly. "This is exactly what I wanted to know. I'll be fine; I just need some time to process this. I just ask you not to tell anyone please.'' She knew there was no need of her to worry about that. Laurel was very trustworthy. |
