Simple, right?
Flynn quietly slipped inside the greenhouse and beelined towards the plain-jane red roses. He looked around, making sure nobody could see him, and he began using the severing charm to cut some of the flowers away from the plant itself. He figured twelve roses would make a big enough bouquet to give Felicity whilst he asked her on a date to Hogsmeade.
He was trying to hurry so he could get out of here, but just as he was working on sixth rose, he aimed his wand a tiny bit off, causing the charm to cut a rather large gash on his right-hand thumb. "Dammit." He dropped all five roses he was holding in that hand as he looked at the wound.
Simple. HA!
Normally, Paul didn't investigate when he saw students go into his Greenhouses. He trusted them to be behaving responsibly, doing homework, or merely spending NICE time with the plants.
But it was the look on Flynn's face before he had entered the Greenhouse that made Paul.... more than
curious.
He had been working in his garden in the blistering wind; his pale face was windburn and his eyes behind his glasses were a bit watery. Still, he was sweating, and he wiped his forehead with the back of his gloved hand, a spade in hand as he peeked into Greenhouse One.
.......
"What in the world did you DO?!" Paul asked as he rushed forward, seeing the blood from a MILE AWAY PRACTICALLY.
