Swallowing and taking a breath Laurel put down the remains of her scone and her tea cup on the table. Brushing her hands off on her robes she smiled warmly. "I need your right hand, Kay. Since its also your birth hand and most connected to your parents."
"When you're ready then give me your hand so I can study the lines of your palm." Laurel murmured quietly. She could always read Kay's tea leaves later to confirm whatever results came from reading her friend's palm. "Did you visit your father during our summer break?"
"I know you always do.'' Kay trusted Laurel and her predictions. When had her friend ever been wrong? Whatever the results, she was ready to accept. It was certainly better knowing than being in the dark. Without hesitation, she put forth her right palm.
"Yes, of course.'' Perhaps Laurel had forgotten that she still lived with her dad. Kay was slightly impatient for Laurel to begin the reading but she didn't push her. The would be only too rude. "You can tell me whatever results you get.''
Needless to say this was a nerve wracking. |
