| ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. SPOILER!!: Laurel! <3 Quote:

Taking up a scone, she watched Kay silently find her composure before she confirmed what Laurel had already feared. Her friend's father's illness had took a turn for the worse. Totally understanding she nodded, still holding onto the scone uneaten. "Yes, I do understand. I use my Inner Eye to see and to know, to be prepared. Sometimes it means I know too much, but it's always better than not knowing. Do you want me to read your tea leaves or your palms for news of your father?"
Kay could always count on her old friend to understand her. Admittedly, she had been nervous that Laurel would refuse to do this because the results could potentially distract and depress Kay. She took another nibble of scone then set it down. "You're the best Seer I know.'' Even if she only knew less than a handful of them, her friend was the most talented. No, she was not being biased. "My palm would be best because I honestly do not think I could swallow all of the tea now. Do you need my left or right one?'' The Muggle Studies professor could not remember if there was a preference to a palm. Divination had never been her strongest subject. |
