Gaston slumped into his chair, trying not to let the panic show in his eyes as they darted around the room. Merlin, what a disaster this class was turning into! Kids sewing fabric to themselves - and each other, dwindling participation... and Mr. Kingsman was not helping matters. He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as the boy answered him with "meow"; he didn't know whether to be amused or annoyed. mainly he was just exasperated. "Mr. Kingsman, I already asked you once to stop crawling and take your seat; that's another five points from Gryffindor for disrupting my class and failure to follow directions," he said, his tone calm yet firm. He gave the other Gryffindors an apologetic look. Sorry, Lions, but he could not let this slide! "If you continue to act like a cat, I'm afraid I'll have no choice but to give you detention." Hopefully it wouldn't come to that! "You're a great actor, but there are more constructive ways to channel your talent... like trying out for Professor Myers's play."

Did he even want to know what else could possibly go wrong in this class? He hadn't been this discouraged during a lesson since that disaster of an introduction to charms development back in his first term teaching at Hogwarts! What were the odds that he wouldn't lose his job over this? Probably not very good... His heart sank. He had no idea what he'd do with his life if he couldn't teach anymore!

Mr. Salander and Miss Paton were off to a great start; each received a beam from him. Mr. Edwards was also doing an amazing job so far! He liked the design he was going for... very festive! Mr. Whittebrook got a smile from the professor as he came to the front to gather some fabric.

Then his eyes fell to Miss Kemp, who, he couldn't help but notice, looked a little fearful. He wondered why... He quietly approached her desk and bent so that his eyes were level with hers. "Is everything okay, Miss Kemp?" he whispered, looking at her with concern.
