Maddie's eyes widened. It had a history of SHREDDING its target?! And they were going to learn it today in class?! She looked down at her very messy attempt at sewing. If this next spell turned out anything like the one, she'd be confetti in no time. She gulped. That wasn't exactly the encouragement she needed. Then the professor turned his wand toward a student, and Maddie's eyes widened in shock a second time. They stayed just that size until the demonstration was finished. Oh, good. Nobody was confetti...yet.

When the activity started, she skipped on up to the collection of fabric and carefully picked out eight separate pieces. She wanted her quilt squares to be as colorful as possible!
