The sparks from the older girl's (Kitty) wand flew out and singed the grass surrounding it. The shout only earned the girl a loud giggle from the gnome holding onto her leg. It started to climb upwards, clawing and scratching as it went.
Luckily for her, help was at hand. The gnome on her leg was immediately immobilised from the spell cast from another girl (Hattie) and stopped clawing up her leg. But the spell had also hit the Head Girl's leg and caused part of it, the part with the gnome, to freeze as well.
To make matters worse, the thin vine that shot out of the rock wrapped itself around the lower half of the Head Girl's, gnome and all.

Luckily she had help from Harriet, who was trying to stun the gnomes. Kitty was too preoccupied to say thank you, but she appreciated the help and tried to position herself so the Hufflepuff's spells hit the gnomes and not her.
Hattie did have to say she was a little scared. She didn't want to hurt the headgirl, but she aslo didn't want her to get attacked by gnomes. It was a scary thing. But at least her spell worked.
Kind of.
A little bit. Well. The gnome was frozen at least. But the vines were kind of going up Kitty's legs. That had not been what she had intended to do. Maybe she really did need to work on her spell work.
"Sorry Kitty!" The blonde murmured with a little frown.
"Opppps" And then she figured she should probably stop her spells so the head girl would be. "Finite!" She murmured, shaking her head.
Okay. Moving on now.
Though her eyes were drawn to the flying gnome that was heading towards the other adult in the room.
Opps.
This could be fun to watch.
