catching up with mini activity Mischievous Niffler Seeing that no one needed a team partner, the head girl walked out of the barn with her binoculars and notebook. She found a steep hill to lean on which was good for her back and which had a good view of the lake. Leaning up against it, she peered into her binoculars to see what she might see... "Ooh, an owl!" she exclaimed, spotting a snowy owl almost immediately as it soared over their heads and over across the lake. Looking at it through the binoculars, she spotted a package bound in brown paper and red string clutched in the bird's talons. Clearly it was a school owl and it was a delivering a package to someone's loved one. Wondering nosily who sent it and to whom, Kitty jolted a note down.
There were several geese floating on the lake, but since they weren't flying she only made a minor note on them - just noting their presence. Swallows skimmed over the lake as they hunted for bugs. "Skimiiiing," she muttered, jolting down another note.
An insect flew towards her face. "Ugh, get away from me! Shoo!" She swatted it aside before realizing it was a bee. Thankfully it flew away, deciding she wasn't worth the trouble. She wondered vaguely what Professor Vance would think about studying bees for Divination. Better write down a note...
Once her page was full, Kitty stood and joined the other students coming back to the barn. |
