She needed a solid question, less vague.... Because she was after all, planning to take twelve OWLs and perhaps she would do well on 10 or 11 of them, but the bird pecked at both because she wasn't specific enough. Like if she asked, will i do well on my Divination Examination? it would have been more specific. Less wiggle room.

That was when she heard it; the familiar voice that despite everything, Skylar would recognize from a mile away. And lately, it felt as though it WAS a mile away, maybe more. But hearing the voice, Skylar had no choice but to ask the question that she was really burning deep to know more about. If the bird was indecisive about this, then she would truly know Ornithomancy was a farce.

"Okay, here goes..." fresh bird seed placed on the two piles and another question in mind, the she-snake glanced at the familiar blond head and then back to her piles. "Will Hattie and I ever ..." Sky trailed over, her voice breaking. Inhale, exhale. "Will... Will Hattie and I ever speak again?"

Releasing Susie, the augurey hovered a moment, but then started toward the no pile, but didn't eat anything from that side, instead pecking lightly at the yes pile. Oh, she could just cry, but instead, Skylar just collapsed onto the ground, trying to think now of just how to 'right things' with her bestest friend.
