That's not to say she wasn't fully committed. She was. This was what she really wanted to do.
She took a deep breath. "I was thinking about music therapy." And they were in a fitting place to bring it up. "..If a plant could play music...." Because, plants were already common hospital gifts. And music therapy was a real thing. And a musical plant would be both!!
She waited a moment to see his reaction, then added, "Musical Mums." .....Maybe.....
