Ornithomancy…the study of birds for divination.

Cassie copied it down into her notes, turning to it in her divination textbook so she had it available for reference during their little starter activity. Why did it seem like a theme that was going on in classes this term…gather students and then send them on a hunt or observation trek? Well she still had to do it regardless of whether or not it was so she got up from her seat to head out into the pasture. Not without grabbing a pair of omniculars from the box of course.

Now to see what she could see.

Oooo look, there was one of the owls from the owlery, Cassie mused, raising the omniculars up to her eyes for a closer look. She studied its flight for a few minutes before looking down into her textbook for comparison. Flap and glide it seemed, which given what was written on it, was appropriate for owls. The Ravenclaw added it to her notes before letting her gaze search the sky for her next target.
