Other than that she didn't know and she didn't care. At all. Sipping her coffee, she ignored his sarcasm. Point still stood that it was very weird for him to have looked into her records to see her past marital status. As much as he tried to be snarky with her, nothing was going to change the fact that she was right about this. "I didn't use a love potion, you nitwit. You know EXACTLY what I was saying." Now Connor was being a twit just for the sake of it. Gabby rolled her eyes. "I've seen it and I will pass." He was nothing special by any stretch of the imagination and she wasn't one to cheat on her husband. Well... not this one at least. "Right. Like I would believe that. You're obsessed with me.'' Connor smirked. "See, you couldn't even resist coming over here even though you tried to ignore me. Addison is going to find this interesting.'' Though he didn't know that Gabby thought he had a thing for her, he actually did N-O-T. It was just satisfying to harass her. Plus he was always at the ready if she wanted to hex or jinx him.
One could never tell with Gabby Burton.
Nitwit? Connor laughed. "Wait. Is that all you could come up with?'' He laughed again, heartily too. "Please. That longing look on your face says differently.'' Inside, the man was cringing. Never in a million years would he want her of all women. |
