As she mentioned to the ghost earlier, they weren't worth it in her eyes.

"you're always in my thoughts." Myrtle was all of a sudden full of suspicion. No one had ever been this nice to her. Was this some sort of a distraction to stop her being dramatic. A trick devised to poke fun at her? "Are you saying this to trick me? BECAUSE IF YOU ARE YOU BOTH WILL PAY!!!!!!'' Myrtles lower lip trembled. She was ready to start wailing again. "You both can visit anytime if you're not tricking me. Just DON'T talk of boyfriends.''
