Laurel greeted the badger with a kind smile. "The weather is definitely smiling on us today Miranda which is perfect for a our indoor/outdoor lesson." Quote:

"Good morning, professor. Hope you're doing well today." 3 for 3 students and just as many badgers as Etta joined the mat circle. "Good morning Prefect Kramer." Laurel greeted, flashing the girl a bright beam. "I'm feeling splendid today, how are you Etta?" Quote:

She greeted, taking the mat next to Etta's. She would need a minute. "Morning, Ms Cambridge." Laurel greeted with a smile pursing her lips. Good now she needed a lion and a snake to arrive to have all the houses represented in class. Quote:

He looked over at one and began debating if he should switch spots. Nah... Blue was good. It's not like he HAD to make green his favorite color, right? His father was Slytherin and still liked the color blue. Well, he would stay, then. Hopefully someone would sit with him as well. Laurel waved and smiled at Kyle as the Slytherin boy took a seat on one of the empty blue mats. Nice he didn't care about house colours. He went for a personal favourite most likely. Quote:

"'Morning," she said and greeted the Professor with a nod before sitting down on one of the unoccupied mats. "Good morning Ms Durant!" Laurel greeted with a return nod in the eagle fifth year's direction. Quote:

Then again, she was a Divination snob. So chances were slim. "Hello Professor," she told her as she sat down on one of the mats close to the front. She wrinkled her nose. Eww. It stunk in here. "Hello Ms Reynolds." Laurel greeted the sixth year badger with a smile when she came and chose a seat near the front. It was nice to see Scarlett in class again. Quote:

It was nice to see so much enthusiasm even at the early hour. Quote:

He was more chipper than he was at the beginning of his double Potions class. "Good morning Mr Dooley." Laurel greeted kindly. It was nice to see that the young snake looked like he was in high spirits and excited for class. Quote:

Her first order of business was to walk up to Professor Vance and greet her: "Good morning, Professor Vance." The next was to find a seat at the very back of the class and set herself up for the lesson. Amelia sat down on the mat in the back corner and tried not to wince at sitting on the dusty, So Emmeline was all smiles and happiness as she bounced into the adult creature barn and took a seat on one of the mats in the middle, calling out, "Hiiii, Professor Vance," as she went. This was gonna be the best Divination lesson ever, she could feel it. She did frown a little bit as she'd walked past an old lady with a clipboard in the back; what was up with these random old ladies sitting in on their lessons lately? The woman she had been expecting arrived on time. Ms Raventhorne was there to observe her lesson as the scheduled audit from one of the Board of Governors. Straightening her stance slightly Laurel met the woman's gaze with a warm inviting smile. "Good morning Ma'am. Welcome to Divination class." She wasn't going to make any fuss or introduce the attending woman or her reason for being there to the students. Ms Raventhorne did her part and Laurel led her lesson.

Hearing Emmeline's happy voice call out a greeting Laurel let her eyes dart over the assembled students until her eyes landed on the lioness. "Hi Ms Sparkes." Quote:

But either way she was happy to be in class today. So with a sweet smile she took a seat on an empty mat and looked around to see if anyone would be joining her. Laurel returned the the sweet smile Skyler sported with one of her own. Maybe she should have more morning lessons just after breakfast. It seemed to put the students in good moods. Quote:

Black. Perfect. Returning Dahlia's smittening grin with one of her own Laurel greeted the badger. "Good morning Ms Marin!" Definitley positive class vibes! Quote:

Kitty arrived soon after Dahlia and was the first that looked like she was trying very hard to not seem like she was holding her nose against the animal smells. Smiling brightly over at the eagle Laurel greeted "Good morning Head Girl Valentine! I'm feeling cheerful and in high spirits. How are you today?" Quote:

Théo just found a empty mat and flopped down on it. Laurel waved in greeting to Mr Montmorency when he silently flopped down on one of the class mats. Too early to expect a greeting perhaps from the lion? Quote:

Pretty Professor Vance, which was pretty much the only reason he'd dragged himself out here this morning. I mean, it wasn't like he was going to pursue this as a career or anything. "Hello, Mr Carter." Laurel greeted with a kind smile as the lion boy chose one of the mats at the back of the class. Was that so that he didn't have to answer questions, did he focus better back there or was it because of the creature smells? Quote:

Laurel greeted with a nod as the fifth year quickly found herself a seat. Skylar looked exhausted already and they were just in their second month. She made a mental note to speak to Skylar between two eyes later that day about her health. Quote:

How bow dah? Zoryn Spinnet was a character and the little Vision she claimed to have was quite amusing. However a vision she couldn't grant. Smiling warmly at the lioness Laurel responded trying to stop herself from giggling."Hi Ms Spinnet. Interesting vision my dear, but I'm not canceling class to let you all go back to sleep. Now where would the fun be for me in that? I want to teach you things." Quote:

Oh look… she mused to herself as she noticed another woman in the room sitting at the back. "Good morning Ms McNally." Laurel greeted with a cheery smile as she took note of the eagle sixth years presence. She was one of the few that had noticed that they had a lady guest. Very perceptive of her. Quote:

Plus, she waved at Emmeline already sitting on a mat with Kitty before she gave a smile to Professor Vance. “Good morning Professor Vance,” she said, before going over to the mat Kyle was seated at. "Good morning Ms Dalgaard-Volkova." Laurel greeted with a kind smile in the second year lioness's direction. The mats were filling up quite nicely. Quote:

There'd be a lot of animal poop to work with. Manure. Not ideal, but she wasn't squeamish. Even if it was going to be something else (and the possibilities were endless?) Char was prepared, having already imperviused her clothes and shoes. "Hello, Ms Kettleburn." Laurel cheerfully greeted the lioness as she stole a glance at her watch. Just a few more minute then she'd start class. Quote:

BUT NO MATTER!
"Good day, Professor Vance!" he chirped upon entering the barn and trying reeeeeeeally hard not to get distracted by all his familiar friends who were looking at all the humans curiously. Whispering salutations as he went,
Derf flopped himself down on the mat next to Jessa. "Hi."[/COLOR] The last student to arrive got a cheerful greeting as she acknowledged his arrival. "Good day, Mr Ashburry-Hawthorne!" It was nice to see that the badger boy was there and excited to start.

With one last glance down at her watch and one over at Madam Raventhorne Laurel straightened up in her full length and cleared her throat as she spoke to the whole class. "Good morning everyone and welcome to another class in the art of divining our futures! Professor Wayland has very graciously loaned us the barn and adjacent pastures for our lesson today on a particular divination method."
Pausing to move forwards slightly Laurel gestured around them to the stalls and pens as she continued. "This huge barn is home to many magical creatures and creatures play an essential part in many divination methods/readings. Can each of you in turn raise your hands and mention ONE creature divination method that you've heard of or read about please?" OOC: Class has started! Is so happy to see so many of you wanting to play in class with me. Feel free to jump in if you haven't already joined in! Just play as if you've been there the whole time.
Answer Laurel's question by having your student mention ONE creature divination method. Can be any methods that just use specific animal parts or a method where you study a creatures behaviour or both. All answers are welcome, even wrong ones. Try not to repeat answers if possible. Class will continue approx 24 hours from now @ 7 pm GMT+2 tuesday night.
