Char was never the most observant-seeming person, but that was because she got distracted by new things, shiny things, moving things, etc etc before properly registering all the more mundane things happening around her. What she DID notice upon bounding into the potions classroom, was the presence of Addy Hutchinson. WHY was Addy there? HMMM? Why? THAT was exciting and interesting and--oh she had FORGOTTEN that Healer Reed was their potions professor now! She waved at him cheerfully with both hands and sat near the front of the room, next to Derfael just because he happened to be where Char wanted to sit.
And you know what? She intended to at least do E level work this term if she could. MOST of the time she had managed to scrape an E in the past, but honestly, potions was too much of an exact art for her tastes and it was TOUGH to stay focused and not skip ahead and not get bored and she could just BUY the potions she needed anyway, right? Right! All the same, she did like Healer Reed an awful lot, and had liked his healing-related lessons in the past so she had a little bit of motivation to do her best today. PLUS an expectation that it would be A LOT OF FUN.
The tall blonde unpacked her things, beamed around at everyone, and then greeted the blonde kid next to her. "Hi Derf!"
