Gaston was on the way back to his office after a walk around the school. The quick break had given him some inspiration for the music he said he'd write for Paul, and he already had his little black book out, scribbling away. A muttering voice talking in - was that Latin? - jerked him out of his thoughts. He put the black book back into his jacket pocket and looked around. Well this wasn't where he meant to go! He must've been so distracted that he took a wrong turn. Serves him right for trying to write songs and walk at the same time...

Then he saw he wasn't alone. "Hello, Mr. Ryker," he said, smiling at the Slytherin. His eyes fell to the game. "Fancy a game?" He was sure the boy wouldn't want to play with an old codger like him, but it seemed rude not to offer. Besides, what was the harm in extending his break just a little longer?
