Joy snapped back to reality as she heard a loud CRASH ahead of her. She yelped in surprise. It was then that she noticed a house-elf was sweeping the floor, and a suit of armor had collapsed next to him!
"Oh no!" gasped Joy, and rushed over to the house elf. "Oh, it's okay, it was just an accident! Let me help you!" Joy took out her wand. "Are you hurt?" she asked, her face full of concern as she observed the house-elf. "Reparo!" she whispered, pointing her wand at the pieces of armor on the floor. Would that spell work? She had only just learned it.
Toddles opened his eyes to find that the suit of armor was a mess on the floor. Panic ensued. No. No. Toddles did not want to get into troublesies. Not now. Toddles had been good all summer long. Good in Toddles standards. Sure Toddles hads gotten time out only a few times but Toddles
was mostly good.
Rubbing handsies together, Toddles glanced at the mess. Toddles wasn't hurt.... Well from what Toddles could sees. Maybe just bruisies but those went away soon. Then a really nice studentsie had come along and checked on poor Toddles. She was very kind. Very, very kind. A big grin lit Toddles' face. The elf's eyes widened when the female student cast Reparo on the pieces of armor. "
Thank you, Missus. Toddles is very gratefuls. Missus is too kind to Toddles." Toddles offered her a smile and then hurriedly picked up the broom. "
No. Toddles is not hurt, Missus. Toddles is.... probably just has... bruisies."
Toddles glanced up at the student and smiled. "
Is Missus okay?" Hopefully she hadn't been hurt either. He didn't know if the suit had hit her.
