Joy Williams sat down at the house table so fast, she almost hurt herself. She was a HUFFLEPUFF!! Just like her mother.
That wasn't the only thing they had in common. Joy was a near-replica of her mother, with light, caramel-colored eyes and a lightly freckled face the color of burnt umber, which was currently flushed pink with excitement.
She gazed excitedly at all of her fellow Hufflepuffs (Squeeee!) , elated to see so many other excited smiling faces. She tried to catch someone's eye. She was just dying to make new friends.
Speaking of dying... Joy noticed a ghost! Oh, this was so exciting.
That must be the Fat Friar! She thought. Her mother and siblings had all told such fascinating tales of the Hogwarts ghosts. Only.... "HELLO, PUNKS" hadn't been in their stories. Joy observed the ghost curiously. She saw something cross his face that looked like a hint of regret for his words. He was probably a very friendly ghost, as she had heard, and maybe he was just in a bit of a rotten mood. Surely ghosts are allowed to have bad days, just like everyone else. She smiled nervously at the Friar. |
