There was some comfort in the fact they'd made it through, the three of them, alive and well. That part made her proud, even if the big sister part of her was grasping at straws on how to deal with her baby brother's ascent into adulthood. At least she's nice. I mean, as far as girls you want your brother dating, she's at the top of the list." Bright side. Yup, she was still looking for those at every turn. "Hm?" She'd been a bit lost in thought but she quickly snapped out of it when she caught sight of what her best was holding. And laughed. "Wow Soph, he's going to love that." The blonde grinned. "I can see him now, all studious, brow furrowed, rocking out to Captain Beefheart." Best. Image. Ever. "TWENTY-" Sophie covered her own mouth. "Twenty-two!? Caleb's twenty-two..!" She had to repeat it and it still didn't sound right. "Merlin, Ella, we'll have white hair in no time!" And she could picture them like that, sitting on their rocking chairs and chatting all day long. That would be nice, actually. Maybe growing old wouldn't be too bad after all!
So Caleb's girlfriend was a pretty nice girl. Aw, that was nice to hear. "I'm glad! He's a nice boy... uh, man..?" Wut! Merlin. "...himself; he deserves a nice girl." The brunette smiled. "How's your dad doing, by the way?"
Sophie couldn't help but crack up at Ella comment. "Maybe I should get it and pretend it's a serious gift and see his reaction! Tell him that's actually what Muggles normally listen to." She couldn't help but laugh her head off imagining him trying to look... 'politely pleased' with this awfully strange gift to not hurt his wife's feelings. "I'll probably end up giving it to Mandy, though. This seems like something she'd enjoy." |
