Over and over her fathers' advice swirled in Philippa's head as she sat in her compartment at the front of the train, all alone for now. Dad said that people usually share compartments, but Papa seems sure that no one ever walked into an occupied compartment. In any case, she'd gotten to the train really early so she'd definitely have her own compartment to eat in, and then she'd just go looking for Emma after or read a book.
Daintily munching on her sandwich, napkin over her lap to protect her (gorgeous) dress, Philippa kicked her feet out in front of her and squeed a little. She looked so GOOD on her first train ride! She already had her schedule planned of course, she'd wear the dress (did she mention gorgeous?? straight from the 2093 autumn collection!) until the sun started setting, which would give her enough time to change into her uniform and fix her hair. Then they'd get to Hogsmeade and it would be time for the feast, and the SORTING.
!!!
She'd better get Ravenclaw or Slytherin. She already had a speech planned for the hat if he DARED to consider the other two houses. Slipping a hand into the inside pocket of her cashmere sweater, Philippa checked that said speech was still there. Good. With a pang of sadness, she remembered who she'd used to talk to about the houses most, and wished once again that Liv still went to Hogwarts and not in America. Sigh.
Philippa took another bite and patted the corners of her mouth to get rid of crumbs, staring out into the countryside as the knot of excitement in her stomach continued to build with every passing mile.

He had expected the first train ride to Hogwarts would have been more....spectaculair.... Ok the running through the wall thing had been amazing. And the hugs and kisses from his dad and grandparents on the platform had been an embarrassment. But now that he was inside of the train he had been a bit dissapointed that it was just a train.
What was so magical about this train anyways?
He had dumped his luggage at the luggage compartment like his dad had told him to and Dorian was currently walking around, trying to find some place to sit. He had no friends yet. Well , he had become friends with this older Gryffindor girl named Zoryn, or at least he thought that they had become friends....she HAD promised to talk to Levi about giving him his autograph. Because Hogwarts champion and all that. He might go search for the other champions as well, get all of their autographs minus the Ilvermorny students and the ones who had already graduated. Shame he could never get them all....
Still in thought, Dorian opened up an compartment door only to find that it hadn't been empty like he had thought it would be. He looked at a girl eating a sandwich and a small smile appeared on his face.
"I like your dress" he said the first thing that came to his mind. Not hello, not can i sit here?
He continued to stand at the door. Completely lost at what to do and wondered if he could enter or not. What if he sat down and she snapped at him to go away 'cause she had been saving the seats for her friends?
