Always the best place to be, she thought. Whenever she went anywhere she tried to get to the front. Of course on normal trains the first class carriages were in the way, and it seemed this time it was the Prefects one. But no matter because she was as far at the front as it was possible for her to go and SHE WAS EXCITED.

Already she'd walked through a wall. An actual wall, made of brick that lead to a platform she had no idea existed before. Gotten on a steam train that looked like it was from one of those old movies her mummy liked to watch, and been surrounded by other magical people with their owls and cats (she sneezed a bit going through the middle carriages) and even some of those colourful puff ball things she couldn't remember the name of.

Of course she had got on at the back so she could leave her MASSIVELY OVER PACKED TRUNK in the luggage compartment. She'd told her mum she wouldn't need so much stuff, but she hadn't listened. It really was a wonder she could lift it at all. But it meant she had to fight her way through the throngs of people lining the carriages, shouting her excuse me's and sorry's as she stepped on their feet.

But now she was where she wanted to be, opening the door to a compartment and marvelling at the old interior. "OH MY GOSH THIS IS SO COOL!"
Derf had PEOPLE to see and loads of them. There was Natalie who was going to have the time ol' answer to the riddle that had been plaguing him all summer about WHY Donald Duck didn't wear pants when Mickey Mouse and Goofy DID - okay it wasn't really THAT time ol' and he had only really learned about Disney things when she mentioned she was going. Chloe too because he had found ANOTHER unicorn recipe he wanted to try with her this term that involved ICE CREAM. Of course he need to see Stasya to check in on creature things and also FREAK OUT at Emmeline because he had SEEN those posters. Also Juniper...and Faith...and Regina because THAT Hufflepuff and him had a pillow fort date in the common room ... Zoryn too...but he kinda wanted to avoid her right now for REASONS...and Jessa...OH! And of COURSE his new friend Bel because he wanted to see how she was settling in and REALLY wanted to show her around the train...OH THERE WAS EMMA TOO WHO WAS STARTING HER FIRST YEAR AND....

"Flaming salamanders," he muttered to himself as his attention waned faaaaaaar from the chocolate frog in his hand leaped out of the box and went for a jovial hop down the corridor.

"Oi!" he called out to anyone nearby - which just so happened to be a youngerish girl. "Help me catch him?"

Especially since some of the chocolate had kinda sorta melted on its feet and had made the chocolate frog card stuck to its confectionery webbed feet. He was PRETTY sure he did NOT have that one in his collection and Newt Scamander help him if it jumped out the window before he got the card.

And also, you know, wasted the chocolate.
