She didn't have that feeling that she was stuck in this situation, but she also didn't know what she was going to do. "I don't know anything about money laundering," she told her in the most honest voice, looking up from her reading. "Everything is this folder is news to me." Was she lying? Possibly. However, what she said following that was the complete truth: "Look, I am just a woman trying to take care of my little girl. Do you know how it feels to be a single mother?" She glanced the woman over and added, "Probably not." She could answer that question herself. "You can hold me for however long you want to," She put the closed folder back onto the desk between them as if to make a statement, "but I have no answers for you." Tempest was having a hard time reading this woman, but she knew enough to know that Kristen had to know which of her family members knew about the laundering. "No. I don't know anything about being a mother." Nor did she have any intention to anytime soon. But Tempest did know that most parents would do anything for their children. Children mad wonderful leverage.
"Think about your daughter. If you serve thirty years in Azkaban who'll be there for her? Lets say you don't get all of those charges" Which Tempest was sure she would. "And then there's good behavior applied... You're still looking at seven to ten years.. Do you want your daughter to go that long without her mother because you wanted to protect someone else?"
