Post J.K. Rowling visits & teases from England on-location set of 'Fantastic Beasts' 2

J.K. Rowling visited the Leavesden Studios set of Fantastic Beasts 2, as revealed by the photo she posted on Twitter this Friday. The magical animal emojis used for the post, as well as her personalized casting seat, signify she was very much on set.

Unfortunately, the Harry Potter author and Fantastic Beasts scribe did not reveal much else about the series (will there be snakes, unicorns, or owls in the sequel, as the emojis illustrate?). Hopefully more to come from the second installment, hitting theaters and IMAX in November 2018.

The following plot details were released by Warner Bros. about the second Fantastic Beasts installment:.

J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay for the film, which opens in 1927, a few months after Newt helped to unveil and capture the infamous Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. However, as he promised he would, Grindelwald has made a dramatic escape and has been gathering more followers to his cause—elevating wizards above all non-magical beings.

The only one who might be able to stop him is the wizard he once called his dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore. But Dumbledore will need help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander. The adventure reunites Newt with Tina, Queenie and Jacob, but his mission will also test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly dangerous and divided wizarding world.
The starring cast for Fantastic Beasts 2 includes Eddie Redmayne with Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski), Ezra Miller (Credence Barebone), Zoe Kravitz (Leta Lestrange), Johnny Depp (Gellert Grindelwald), Kevin Guthrie (Abernathy), Callum Turner (Theseus Scamander), and Jude Law (Albus Dumbeldore).
