Naida McDean took her sunglasses off as soon as she waltzed herself into the bowling alley. She had planned on being early to her little meet-up with her brother's girlfriend, Esme, but she had spent the morning with her Uncle Sam and cousin, Juliette, and could not even think about ditching them early. How could she?! Her Uncle had baked her some cobbler that he had learned to cook when he lived in America, and it was the best dessert she had ever eaten!
She placed her sunglasses into her bag then glanced around, looking for the little blonde girl.
"Esme!" She called out when she saw the girl playing one of the arcade games, and beelined over to her. "I hope you weren't waiting too long." How terrible that would be. Before she forgot, she added, "Uncle Sam wanted me to tell you that he said hello." |
