She was watching the OTHER intern (Rachel) when all of a sudden Olly found herself face to face with a boy. Who just so happened to be the second intern. With a hint of a smile Olly she nodded, briefly glancing around too, in search for their department head. Her eyes were soon back on the boy in front of her, however. "What's your name?" First things first. He kept his eyes on the woman as she was looking around it seemed then he saw the smile and of course smiled back.
"Oh terribly sorry, my name is Griffin Renzler. It's very nice to meet you.." He hadn't got her name yet, but his manners were always around.
His parents were very strict about being respectful and he felt his twin and himself always were.
Glancing around again he looked back to her, "Have you ever spoken to the minister? She seems very nice." Though he would admit he was a bit intimidated. "What department do you work in?" He figured she worked there since she didn't have the intern badge on, maybe she worked where he was going to be and he was seeming stupid. Griffin tried to straighten up and be more mature than his nineteen years had given him. Quote:

As she spoke, and they joined the outer circles of the gathering group, Rooney reached for her hand and smiled softly. "Don't look at them. Look at me. We don't have to see them after this. It's a big place." And hopefully...he wouldn't have to see some of the people in here for the entire summer. Or have any run ins with a certain Level One employee that wanted his guts for garters.
But that was a whole different story.
He let go of Dora's hand in time to see Her Royal Highness the Minister walk into the room -- lucky because his palms tripled their sweating and his breathing became a little bit laboured. "Oh my goodness. She's more sophisticated in person. I might be sick, Dora. That's going to be me one day." He did feel particularly queasy, but that could be merely put down to nerves. Or the five coffees he had drank. Or the french toast his thought was a good idea before those five coffees. Or nerves.
Rooney stood still and staring until they were disrupted by someone (Anderson) walking straight into them. Head turning to look, the former Head Boy couldn't have looked more confused by what had happened. "No matter. No matter. Her presence has blinded me also." Lady Minister, Queen of the Ministry's, that was. Not Miss Dora. Not that Miss Dora wasn't sophisticated... it was just that... the Minister was tHE MINISTER. And that was his dream for one day. Except he now intended to have served the stage for decades firstly and only take on this life when his dancing shoes were hung up.
The face that greeted them as the Department Head of International Cooperation was not the face that Rooney Bronwyn had envisioned whatsoever. So it did take him a second or two to adjust to this new sketch building in his head. This would throw his Ministry file off absolutely completely into space. How undeniably annoying of Erec Delacroix to not have the face that Rooney Bronwyn expected him to have from the letters that they had exchanged. "Sir," he started, finally taking a deep breath. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Hand out to shake, of course.
"I wasn't at all aware that the Minister was going to be here right now. I haven't anything prepared if she approaches me to speak." Did she even know who he was? That he was Rooney Bronwyn who had penned her letters every month since her appointment with his desires and thoughts on all of the things? Did she know that he was Rooney Bronwyn that wrote to her of all people hours after receiving his Head Boy badge last summer? That HE was Rooney Alexander Bronwyn, Head Boy of Hogwarts......... formerly. Rooney, yes that name did hit him as very familiar. Not only was he an intern in Erec's department, but he was the intern that sent him that very well thought out plan and letter after he had recieved his internship letter. Erec stretched out a hand in greeting. "Very nice to meet you as well. You both can just call me Erec. I'm not for the formalities in my department. We work as a team and teams don't typically call each other Mr.
or Miss." He had hoped that would relax them both if they were at all nervous. "Our department is very busy right now with things going on so I'm hoping you are both ready to jump right in."
His eyes moved as he saw Rooney's and gave a small grin. She had been in his letter as well. "Oh yes she wanted this welcome lunch to greet you all. Minister Scabiors was a professor at one point so the youth is very important to her. Come on you both should get a chance to say hello." He turned to get Althea's attention, "Minister Scabiors if you have a second I have two interns I'd like you to meet." He had told Rooney in his letter he'd find sometime for him to meet her so why not let it happen on the first day.
