The grey eyed boy paused as he looked over the pond and then looked around to survey the view from where he was standing.
Perfect.
The soothing sound of water rippling could be heard and the tree above him provided much needed shade for the smooth lawn. He didn't know what he was thinking wearing his leather jacket, but to late now.
He pulled out a blanket and set it on the grass and then settled down onto it and carefully set the picnic basket down, he opened the lid and felt his heart slam into his ribcage as he pulled out the velvet box and stuck it into his pocket.
He closed his eyes a bit as he tried to breathe and calm down. But breathing wasn't working, and so he busied himself setting things up.. A small vase full of red roses came out to sit on the blanket, along with some candles and then the rest of the meal...
Now all he had to do was wait for his love to show up.
And not panic..
Or chicken out.
Merlin help him.. Juno made sure to wear the necklace, bracelet, and of course her promise ring. All gifts he had given her. She hadn't been able to see him since the Easter holidays, and she wanted their first meeting from her getting back from Hogwarts to be perfect.
She loved that he had planned for another picnic. It was nice just being the two of them outside in nature together. That was how their first date had gone, as well as the day he had given her the promise ring. It was tradition. She grinned, looking down at it, wondering what her future would hold.
She quickly crossed the street over to the City Park, taking the trail that Leon told her to take. It was very warm out today, causing Juno to wonder why she thought it would be a good idea to wear her leather jacket.
As soon as she found him she would be taking it off that was for sure. She didn't want to be a sweaty mess for the entire picnic. She took a curve in the path, and soon enough caught a glimpse of him. Smiling hugely, she began to run. "Hey, Cap!" She called out, waving as she ran towards her future.
