Curling up beside Rula, Rooney rested his head on her shoulder and listened to her and Kitty talk. He was just going to be here. With them. His favourites of the Prefects, really.
The compartment door sled open and her co-prefect came in. He didn't say anything and instead went to rest on Rula's shoulder.
"Hey Rooney." She smiled, feeling both sad and happy at this moment. Sad that he wouldn't be her co-prefect and that no one at Hogwarts would enjoy his school theatrics anymore, but at the same time happy that he was going somewhere he probably really liked.
"I'm really going to miss you. Lessons just won't be the same when you're not there." But it was not really goodbye, not if they were still keeping in contact.
"I'll write so you know what's happening at Hogwarts and you can advise me and everything. We'll keep in touch."
