A series of 'hey's and 'good evening's were given to Kaysha, Rosalyn, Haraldur and the Williams siblings, both of whom looked much happier. Deciding not to ask, Hirsch, instead, turned his attention towards....... blink. So Paul was feeling a little dramatic today, wasn't he? Not that that came as a surprise, but the look of tiredness on his face certainly did. Maybe he needed a rest more than the others did.

Shaking his head, he looked over at Camilla as she started talking. Perhaps? "I'm glad. Are you going away this summer?" He wasn't being nosy, was he? "I'm going to Germany, actually, to see the family, which should be an interesting visit." And he was dragging River along so, sorry, Camilla.

It had been a simple question but he was glad that it had got Laurel giggling. Maybe he was funny, after all. "Bad weather?" he asked, adjusting his glasses as he peered up at the ceiling, "Pity, I was hoping for some sunshine." He hoped she was talking about the weather and not referring to bad events that could be about to brew. He really didn't want to have to worry about that during the holidays. He didn't think too much about this, not when she'd asked a question that brought a smile to his face. Even though he knew about her Seer abilities, it always surprised Hirsch whenever he heard her talking about something he hadn't told her about yet. "You always know. Yeah, I'm more than ready. I think it's time for a break." After what the year had been like. "What about you? Have you got anything planned for the summer?"

The sight of Tristan coming to take a seat at the dias caught his attention next and he...... paused. Zoryn Spinnet had left him a task to do and while he knew that she had good intentions, he'd been dreading this moment where he'd have to complete that task. "Hey, Tristan," he said, smiling at the man, "So, er," He cleared his throat slightly before continuing, "a little Gryffindor told me an interesting theory about you going through your midlife crisis and that I should be helping you through this, er, difficult period of your life." Please explain.

Rod?

Rod?!

River earned himself a look. If any of the students decided to call him that out of mockery, he was blaming the Healer. "That's for me to know and for you to find out, Scotty." Apart from Germany, he didn't have any other plans set in stone. Besides, if their previous summer was clear about anything, it was that plans were easily broken when they decided to, as people say, let their hair down.

Handwriting? His eyebrows furrowed at the note that the Healer was fishing out and he took it without another word. His expression changed the minute he started reading the German words written in a thin, cursive writing and before he knew it, the man was reddening considerably. It was bad enough that she was writing to his, er, female friends but now she was writing to River as well?! Hirsch let out a small groan and rubbed his eyes. He..... was not looking forward to this conversation.

"I told her that I'm coming to visit and that I'm bringing a friend so, she's taken it upon herself to get to know you," he said, looking up and over at River, "And wants to know if you have details about my," Sigh. "private life." Which should be kept private, understood?

He glanced down at the letter again, feeling more than a little embarrassed as he re-read it. If this was what she was like now, he hated to imagine what she'd be like during the trip itself. But before he could think too much on that, there was something falling on the note. Something....... like confetti? Confetti that, when he looked closely enough, said R.B. on it. He lowered the note, just in time to see a card landing on the edge of his plate. Picking it up, Hirsch turned it over and........

........... smiled. Wide.

Rooney Bronwyn. Of course.

Hirsch glanced up and over at the Ravenclaw table and gave a rather enthusiastic wave in the direction of the Head Boy. Oh, how he was going to miss that boy. He was going to have to go down and say a few words of farewell but for now, he was going to keep as many of these cards as possible. He had his own, courtesy of a present from the Head Boy, but that didn't mean he couldn't be a little greedy with the autographed cards, did it?

Feeling slightly better, the Defence Professor glanced at Regina, still smiling. Not too shabby? He did know what those words meant. "Thanks, Regina. That's quite a compliment." He would've said more but seeing as she was going over to the podium, he quietened down. His stomach seemed to know it was almost time to eat but he waited, applauding occasionally when Regina led them into it.

Dig in? Don't mind if we do!
