There were only a handful of reasons that a student was knocking on her door. Typically it was concerning their grades or some assignment that she had just given them during class. Other times it was a colleague with a question or just wanting to share a cup of tea and chat while they had some downtime between lessons. Or there was this reason. Melbourne was not the first to come to her office wanting to speak about animagi training, not even the first this term. It seemed to be a trend this year, one that only the young ladies of Hogwarts was partaking in.

A warm smile tugged at the professors lips as she took in the clear nervousness in the young girls tone as well as her request for training. Hearing that she had been considering it for some time and had already read a couple of books was a decent start. "Before I decide either way, Miss Sorin-Ward, why don't you come inside and we can talk about what you already know and what the training consists of?" That way she would be well informed on the topic and then they can speak about moving forward with training should her grades and behavior not be of any problem.
